The weather forecast for Canterbury issued at 9 p.m by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, and dealing with the 27 hours following the time of issue. Situation: an anti-~vclone is moving across New Zealar-J iron the Tasman Sea, and pressures are low far to the south-west. Forecast: Moderate winds from a northerly quarter; weather fine, with moderate temperatures. Outlook for Tuesday: fair. WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Light to moderate westerlies; some light showers developing in South West land; weather otherwise fair to cloudy: moderate temperatures. Outlook for Tuesday: cloudy, with scattered showers. • CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER After a frost of seven degrees, the weather in Christchurch yesterday was toe and sunny, with a moderate northeast wind. At midnight, the sky was dear and a light easterly wind was blowing.
