COCKTAIL PARTY

CRAIGHEAD OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION

Members of the Christchurch branch of Craighead Old Girls’ Association and their friends attended a very well-arranged and very pleasant cocktail party held at Elizabeth House late on Saturday afternoon. The two reception rooms were crowded, and the enjoyment of the guests was ensured by the attention of the president (Miss Belinda Williams), the honorary secretary (Miss Phillida Gould), and members of their committee. Miss Williams wore a smart suit of black silk craquelle. Among specially-invited guests were representatives of several old girls’ associations in Christchurch. Those responsible for arranging the party with Miss Williams and Miss Gould were Miss Thayer Ronaldson (honorary treasurer), Miss Janet Pullon (vicepresident), Misses Jennifer Boyle, Susan Cracroft Wilson, Bryony Macmillan, Wendy Matson, Jennifer Murray, and Susan Tapley, and they had the valuable help of Mr Humphrey Gould and Mr Timothy Lawrence.
