ARCHITECT TO VISIT BRITAIN (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. August 11. The Government Architect (Mr Gordon Wilson) will visit London shortly for consultations on the design of New Zealand House, which is to be built at the corner of Pall Mall and the Haymarket. The Minister of Works (Mr W. S. Mr Wilson had also been given authority to investigate trends in construction in Britain and Western Europe. On his way to London, Mr Wilson would spend a short time in the United • States, to investigate modem methods in the design and construction of office buildings, particularly in California and New York, the Minister said. He would leave from Auckland by air on August 20, and would be away for three months.
