PLANT RENEWALS
WORKS DEPARTMENT’S REQUIREMENTS The purchase of plant at a cost of £22,410 for the works department was approved last evening by the City Council. The cost will be met from the plant renewal fund. The plant comprises: tractor mower, £500; rotary hoe, £2oo;i two motor scythes, £200; 3-4 cubic feet concrete mixer, £300; tractor loader, £2950; two “Paxit” refuse vehicles, £80tn); three tip-trucks, 3-4 cubic yard capacity, £4500; 500-gallon tar sprayer, £1600; two street refuse vehicles. £2600; conversion of two trucks, £l5OO.
