Situation: a complex depression covers New Zealand. Forecast: moderate to fresh southerly winds; weather overcast and cold, with rain and some snow to low levels on the hills. Outlook: occasional showers. WEST COAST The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Overcast with periods of rain, but improving in the south later in the day; cool temperatures. Outlook: fair.
