PRICE OF SITTING OF EGGS
Sir, —Could you tell me if there is a standard price for a sitting of eggs and if so, what is it? Also, how many eggs are usually sold as a sitting?— Yours, etc., M.A. July 13, 1954. [The president of the CanterburyWestland Poultry Keepers’ Associa-* tion (Mr E. Chambers) said that both answers would depend on the seller. The price of a sitting of eggs might range from 10s to £lO, depending on the quality of the breeding stock. The average number of eggs to a sitting was 10 to 15.]
