PETROL STOLEN AND TRUCK CONVERTED

Forty gallons of petrol were stolen on Tuesday night from the depot of Farrier and Co., Ltd., cartage contractors, near the Waimakariri river bridge. The office was ransacked. A 40 gallon drum was filled with petrol and taken away on one of the company’s trucks. The truck was found undamaged on the Stewarts Gully road on Wednesday.
