French Enclave In India Cut Off
(Rec. 12.10 a.m.) PARIS, July 14. Five thousand inhabitants of Mahe, a French settlement on the Malabar coast of India, have food supplies for only a few days, the French Press Agency reported last night from Pondicherry. A French official arriving at Pondicherry from Mahe told the agenev that all food supplied had been cut off since partisans demanding the union of t rench settlements with India cut the road linking Mahe with other French territories. Nothing can arrive by sea during the monsoon because the ships have to anchor five miles out.
