REJECTION OF STUD RAMS

Owners of Corriedale rams which inspectors of the Corriedale Sheep Society reject as stud rams, will in future not be permitted to sell them as stud rams at the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s ram fair. The association’s committee yesterday approved a recommendation from, the society to this effect. Mr H. C. A. Sidey said the society had appointed inspectors to review stud rams at the fair, but up to this time the inspectors had not had the official backing of the association, so there was nothing to stop an owner of a ram so rejected, offering that lamb for sale.
