Minor Fires.— Units of the Christchurch Fire Brigade answered two calls yesterday, but neither fire did any damage. One unit from St. Albans answered a call at 7.23 a.m.,to a chimney fire at 225 Springfield road, the property of Mr lan Tait. One unit from headquarters answered a call at 4.50 p.m. to an oven fire caused by the ignition of fat; This was at 190 England street, the property of Mr J. C Fox.
