PARCELS FOR TROOPS IN KOREA

The Christchurch Comforts for Korea Committee next Monday evening will pack 100 parcels of cakes and small comforts for immediate dispatch to servicemen in Korea. On July 1 members of the committee will wrap and address papers and magazines for the men and for servicewomen dnd nurses in Korea.

These arrangements wdPe made at a meeting of the committee yesterday. The president (Mrs G. H. Watts) presided. It was reported that more than 100 papers had been posted recently. Tentative arrangements for the international exhibition which the committee hopes to hold in October were discussed, and it was decided to write to many organisations that might wish to help in assembling national displays. Donations from Mrs A. Fuldseth, Mr G. Sevicke Jones, the Canterbury Women’s Club, and the Department bf Internal Affairs were gratefully acknowledged.
