MORE MIGRANTS BY AIR
DUTCH PARTY DUE IN AUGUST
More immigrants from Hollnad are expected to arrive in Christchurch by air in August. According to advice received by the Immigration Department in Christchurch, a party totalling 55 —30 fare-paying and 25 assisted immigrants—is due at Harewood, probably from Schipol—on August 4. They will be carried in a K.L.M. aircraft.
No details are at present available about the distribution of the new settlers after their arrival in New Zealand.
The last Dutch settlers to arrive at Harewood from overseas by air were carried in the K.D.M. DC-6A Liftmaster that won the handicap section in the London to Christchurch air race last October.
