Mr P. R. ’ Heydon, High Commissioner for Aflfctralia in New Zealand, is visiting Christchurch until Wednesday evening. He will address the Rotary Ciub tomorrow on current Australian problems, and will be guest speaker of the Overseas League in the evening. On Wednesday afternoon he will meet members of the council of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce. Major J. E. Spring, a Regular Force officer, has been appointed second-in-commarfd of the 16th Field Regiment in succession to Major J. R. Spence, M.8.E., M.C., who is leaving for New Zealand to take up a new appointment. Before his arrival in Korea early this year, Major Spring was DeputyAssistant Quartermaster-General for the Central Military District and of the New Zealand Division.—Korea.. June 3.
