SHOPS AT AIRPORT TERMINAL
TENDERS CALLED FOR RENT OF SPACE Shops, show cases and business advertising may soon appear in the international terminal at the Christchurch airport. Tenders have been, called for renting of space in the building for selling goods, providing services for the travelling public, and for advertising. A small area is available in *the customs area of the terminal, and a greater space in the passenger waiting room itself. Small shops could also be built in the limited but adequate area near* the terminal entrance. With three Tasman Empire Airways DC-6 flights between Christchurch and Australia each week—two to Sydney and one to Melbourne—more than 300 passengers, with their friends and relations, will pass through the terminal dach week if the planes operate at full load. .
