Clayton Retires fr&n Boxing.—Ronnie Clayton, who lost his British featherweight title to Sammy McCarthy on Tuesday night, today announced his retirement from boxing. Clayton held his title for seven years. An eye injury forced Clayton to retire in the seventh round of his fight with McCarthy. His decision to retire was made after he had consulted a specialist yesterday.
