More than 30 riders from the Christchurch Cash Cycling Club took part in a 25-mile road race at Halswell on Saturday. Results:— 25-Miie Race.—D. Gibbs 1, H. Cations 2, B. Harris 3, K. Shadwell 4, W. Walker 5, J. R. Williams 6. Time, Ihr 35 l-ssec. Boys’ Race (3 miles). —L. Keighley 6min 23sec, 1; B. Burney, 7min 57sec, 2; C. Carmody, 7min 46sec, 3; R. Harrison, Bmin 20sec, 4; I, Woods, 7min 15sec, 5. Fastest time.—L. Keighley, 6min 23sec.

COMBINED MEETIN'G HELD The Avon Amateur Cycling Club rode in an invitation meeting with the Papanui Club over a 30-mile course on Saturday. The riding was very steady. The riding of the 9min men was good, as they caught the front-markers, and none of the riders on a tighter handicap was able to overhaul them. The first six riders to finish were fairly close, and all were on 9min and llmin marks. Women competitors maintained their form, and their race over five miles and a half was ridden in very good time. Results were : Men’s Events.—B. Weir (Avon), llmin. 80min 36sec t 1; R. Heyward (Pap.), 9min, 78min 36.25ec, 2; H. McGahey (Avon), llmin, 80min 36.45ec, 3. Fastest time: G. Painter (Avon), scr, 72min 38sec. Women’s Event.—N. Dyer (limin), 16min 52sec, 1; R.
