NEW MAGISTRATE.—Mr L. N. Ritchie, who has been appointed to the Magisterial Bench in Christchurch to fill the vacancy pending through the appointment of Mr F. F. Reid, S.M., as chairman of the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board. For many years Mr Ritchie has practised law in Raetihi and Ohakune and held office as vicepresident of the Wanganui District Law Society.
