THE OFFERING COMPRISES: 11 High-class Rising Yearling Bulls, which are sons of the famous importation Dunure Jupiter (Imp.) from daughters of New Zealand’s leading Ayrshire Merit Sire, Ardgowan Battlesong. The daughters of Dunure Jupiter (Imp.) dominated the junior classes at the last N.Z. Royal Show. Mr Ben Legg has recently returned from Scotland, and he has been so impressed with Dunure Jupiter’s family that it has been decided to retain all of his in-calf daughters for the Lakeside Stud. Last season the Lakeside average was 4031 b fat for 59 cows under normal dairying conditions. Seven three-year-olds by Killmarnock Flashlight averaged 4231 b fat. 34 Merit Cows in the herd. In the above offering are thirteen daughters of Ardgowan Makbar, 1950 Royal Show Reserve Champion, who has daughters with over 5001 b fat.
