REGIMENTAL REUNION

More than 150 former members of the 2nd New Zealand Divisional Cavalry Regiment, including three former commanding officers, will attend the reunion of the regiment in Christchurch this evening. The Visitors to Christchurch include a strong contingent from southern parts of the South Island and nearly 20 from the North

Island. Brigadier I. L. Bonifant will be the chairman at the five-course dinner this evening. Other former commanding officers present will be LieutenantColonel A. J. Nicoll and LieutenantColonel J. R. Williams. LieutenantColonel R. P. Harper, who served overseas in both World War I and World War 11, will also attend the reunion.

A coloured film of Cairo was shown at a smoke concert, the first function of the reunion which was held last evening. The Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt Rev. A. K. Warren), who was chaplain to the unit for a period during the Italian campaign, will be one of the speakers at the dirJner tonight. Tomorrow morning a church parade will be held at the Christchurch Cathedral and a wreath will be laid on the Cenotaph. Buses will take members over the Summit road x to Lyttelton, where they will embark for a picnic at Ripa Islan d.
