PROMOTION OF ROAD SAFETY
CHRISTCHURCH MEETING ON JUNE 16 A Christchurch road safety committee will probably be established at a meeting on June 16, which is being called by the Mayor (Mr R. M. Macfarlane, M.P.) at the request of the Minister of Transport (Mr W. S. Goosman). The* formation of these local committees in cities and major towns has been recommended by the New Zealand Road Safety Council. The invitation list for the Christchurch meeting includes representatives of local bodies, transport, motoring, and motor-cycling organisations, educational authorities, and business interests. .... __ . _ 1
