ELECTION IN HONDURAS

VIEW OF GOVERNOR BELIZE, April 30. The Governor of British Honduras (Mr P. M. Renison) said today he was not disturbed by what had appeared to be “open lack of loyalty” in the People’s United Party which on Wednesday won eight of nine contested seats in the Colony’s first general election. He told a. press conference it was up to Britain to prove her sincere wish to help British Honduras “which we can’t do by talking.” The ninth seat in the election was won by an Independent, Mr Charles Westby. The Governor said he would be eager to give the P.U.P any help or advice they wanted.
