MISS MARY-ANNETTE BURGESS Promotion officer for the New Zeai land Wool Board, who has established a New Zealand-wide reputation as a full time specialist in all aspects of wool promotion. Miss Burgess, who is this week with Hay's Ltd, well known city store, to tell the story “The Seven Wonders of Wool” to the sales personnel of this progressive organisation, spent most of 1951 in the United Kingdom and Western Europe devating her time to intensive study at the headquarters of the International Wool Secretariat. Since returning to New Zealand she has produced many, large, scale and elaborate wool promotions in the main provincial centres,. which have attracted the widest public interest, particularly in the field of contemporary fashion. At. this time of the year the publie ~is sensitive to the use and value of woo and as a follow-on from this series of lectures to the staff by Miss Burgess Hay’s will next week stage a full sca>c wool promotion throughout the store. —Advt.
