(New Zealand Press Association) OAMARU, March 26. An Oamaru woman who went on to the railway line at the Thames street crossing at Oamaru today to remove a dog from the ‘middle; of the track was struck by the north-bound

Dunedin to Christchurch express, and seriously injured. She is Miss Eileen Frances Reilly, ■of Trent street. Miss Reilly had crossed the railway track when she looked back and saw the dog. With the engine of the express already in the middle of the street she went back to get it. Miss Reilly jumped to get clear, and the engine apparently missed her, but she was struck a glancing blow by the first carriage and hurled into a cattle stop. Miss Reilly was attended by Dr. W. E. Chisholm, and taken to the Oamaru Public Hospital.
