FAST THREE MILES BY HASKELL

LISTED RECORD AGAIN BROKEN

(New Zealand Press Association) X- AUCKLAND, March 25. ■ Although the long grass and rough surface of the Sturgess Park track was a handicap, E. Haskell tonight bettered the listed national three-mile record of 14min 6sec for the third time this season. His run of 14min 3.6 sec was 2.4 sec under the mark set by J. C. Daly, of Canterbury. Competing with Haskell, the national sixnule champion and record-holder (L. King) clocked 14min 6sec to equal Dalv’s record.
