PIGEON FLYING

EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB Conditions were good when the East Christchurch Pigeon Flying Club held two races recently. One race was from Kaikoura, a distance of 105 miles, and the other from Picton about 175 miles. Results:— Three-bird Race—H. Courtier, Ihr 55min 7sec; E. Alexander, Ihr 55min Bsec; R. Wallace, Ihr 55min 24sec; E. Barker, Ihr 55min 26sec; W. Walls, Ihr 57min 54sec; A. Aird, 2hr llmin 43sec; D. Morgan, 2hr 30min 57sec; F. Rose, 2hr 36min 56sec; J. Mullany and Son, 2hr 38sec 7sec. H. Courtier won the nominated bird prize. Flock Race.—E. Barker, 4hr 25min 42sec; W Walls, 4hr 26min 21sec; E. Alexander, 4hr 26min 38sec; J. Turner, 4hr 27min 12sec; R. Tennant, 4hr 27min 55sec; A.
