Colombo street Overbridge.—The Christchurch City Council will receive a letter of appreciation from the Automobile Association (Canterbury) for its recent efforts to secure an overbridge at the Colombo street railway crossing. The council of the association, at a meeting last evening, when the president (Mr W. R. Carey) recalled that the association had made detailed submissions on the matter to the Railways Commission. Twentysix years had elapsed since the first conference on this question, said Mr F. W. Freeman.
