Sir Winston Churchill's sombre announcement in the House of Commons on “the stupendous problems and Perils” involved in the possible use of atom and hydrogen bombs was treated as a high major policy statement and featured accordingly by British morning newspapers today. The “Daily Telegraph” says that Sir Winston Churchill’s statement made a Powerful impression in the House of Commons. 4i The diplomatic corespondent of the Daily Mail” says that high-level talks Russia on the atomic pool proposed by Mr Eisenhower at Bermuda gst December may be less remote than Western diplomats are prepared to concede. Britain and the United States have approved a plan for Soviet consideration and now await Russia’s reply.
