The New Zealand horse, Gold Scheme, was unplaced in his first race in Australia today when he ran as top-weight in the Murwillumbah Handicap at Randwick over one mile. Brilliant Sign won, beating comfortably the heavily-backed favourite, Idlewild, and Double Blank.
