LOCAL GOVERNMENT COMMISSION
MR A. A. MCLACHLAN, S.M., TO BE CHAIRMAN
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 24. Mr A. A. McLachlan, S.M., of Lower Hutt, has been appointed chairman of the Local Government Commission. The Minister of Internal Affairs (Sir William Bodkin), announcing this .today, said that Mr McLachlan’s experience and ability were widely known. The Government was anxious to get the commission functioning as soon as possible.
