DRIVING LICENCES

Sir, —I, too, wish to protest at the institution of a driving test at the age of 70. If a medical examination shows that a person is fit to drive, that should be sufficient. Driving licences are renewed in winter; and as driving tests are made by appointment, they can be trying to elderly persons.—Yours, etc., E.W.S. March 23, 1954.
