Mrs Lyttelton, wife of the Colonial Secretary, has been given a personal Scotland Yard bodyguard because of a letter threatening her life. Mr Oliver Lyttelton has had a bodyguard for some time. Newspapers and members of Parliament received letters last week, all similar, threatening to assassinate the Queen if she visits Gibraltar, as planned, on her way home from the Commonwealth tour.
