EAST-WEST TRADE APPROVED

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe'today approved by 16 votes to 0 a joint British and Russian resolution on the great importance of expanding East-West trade. The resolution invited the secretary of the commission to consult governments, in the light of the East-West trade talks due to open in Geneva on April 20, to ascertain their opinion about reviving the'Committee on the Development of Trade this year.
