Forecast? moderate north-east winds predominating; weather fair to fine, with mild to warm temperatures. Outlook for Sunday: fair. The following is the forecast for the West Coast of the South Island:— Light to moderate winds from a northerly quarter, weather cloudy, with light rain at times, chiefly in the south; temperatures moderate to mild. Outlook for Sunday: occasional rain. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The day in Christchurch yesterday was fine and sunny, with a moderate northeast wind. The maximum temperature was 73.9 degrees.
