NEW ST. MARGARET’S COLLEGE PLANNED FOR MERIVALE.—This architect’s sketch shows the plan for the new St. Margaret’s College to be built in Merivale on a site at present occupied by the hostel and primary classrooms. A handsome tree-lined entrance from Merivaie lane (bottom left) divides at the combined chapel and assembly hall, behind which are the administration offices. Immediately to the right is the library, and then are two blocks providing eight classrooms. There are another four classrooms to the left. The swimming pool and other buildings behind this long wing are already in existence. A meeting will be held on Monday to establish the St. Margaret’s Foundation to support the building proposals. The architects are Messrs Holliss and Leonard.
