QUESTION TO BE PUT TO MINISTER

(Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, March 17. A question about the increase in the freight rates on New Zealand chilled beef will be asked next week in the House of Commons by Mr F. Wigley (Labour. Sunderland North), who was Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Food in the Labour Government, He will ask the Minister of Food “what effect the decision to increase freight rates on New Zealand chilled beef will have on the procurement costs of such beef and what discussions were held between the New Zealand Tonnage Committee and the department before the announcement of the decision.”
