Death of Former Executioner.— Thomas William Pierrepoint, aged 83, who was public executioner in Britain for 35 years, and uncle of the present chief executioner, died yesterday. During his term as hangman, Pierrepoint executed more than 300 persons.— London, Feb. 11.
