MOUNT PLEASANT CLUB W. Nicholson outsailed C. Papps to win the Cyrus Williams dinghy championship, an annual Canterbury event, sailed with two other championships on the Estuary on Saturday. With W. and J. Nicholson as crew, Gesture, one of the new, fairly big longbowed type of R class dinghy, reemphasised her first-season supremacy. Outsailing Papps on the wind, the Nicholsons had no difficulty in beating the sister boats Hectic and Havoc (G. Wilson) into second and third places. The sailing committee of the Mount Pleasant Boating Club is to decide whether the whole fleet which contested the Estuary Takapuna championship should be disqualified through the wrong course being sailed. The Estuary Frostbite championship was won by M. Williams, sailing Honey. All races were sailed in a fresh northwest wind over triangular courses. Results:— Cyrus Williams 12ft 9in Dinghy Championship (12 started).—Gesture (W. N.icholson) 1, Hectic (C. Papps) 2, Havoc (G. Wilson) 3. Estuary Takapuna Championship (10 started).—-Teaser (D.
