PETROL PRICE REDUCED
PENNY A GALLON CHEAPER (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 16. Petrol is to be reduced in price by Id a gallon from tomorrow. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) announced this tonight. The new price in the main centres will be 3s Id a gallon. Mr Holland said the reduction was made possible because petrol was being landed here at lower cost. “I am sure this reduction, coming as .it does almost on the eve of Christmas, will be welcomed by motorists and users of petrol throughout the country,” he said.
