PRICE CONTROL
MR NASH ON LABOUR POLICY ENTHUSIASTIC AUDIENCE AT ONEHUNGA (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, December 16. When Labour became the Government again it would control the prices of essentials needed in the home, said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr Nash) in an address in the Workingmen’s Club Hall, Onehunga, tonight, but the party would not want to set Up a system to control all prices. Mr Nash did not have a hostile interjection throughout a 90-minute speech. An audience of 600 stood up and applauded and cheered as Mr Nash and Mr H. Watt, the Labour candidate for Onehunga, entered the hall. The Prime Minister (Mr Holland) spoke in the same street on Monday night. Mr Nash referred to the trouble at the Prime Minister’s meeting. He said he did not believe in anyone interrupting any person -expounding his views on the national economy. It was not in accord with democratic procedure. Those who had prevented Mr Holland from saying what he wanted to say were not understanding followers ot Labour.
