CORNWELL CUP CREWS SELECTED

Port Christchurch will be represented by H. Walker and J. Ower in the Takapuna yacht. Fantasia, when the Cornwell Cup inter-port contest is held at Bayswater, Auckland, next January. The selection of Walker and Ower was confirmed by a meeting of the Estuary Cornwell Cup Committee on Monday evening. A protest at the disqualification of Fantasia. sailed by D. Eastmond and A. Eastmond in the final trial on Sunday, was not upheld. Walker and Ower gained their third win in the final trial in the yacht Teaser.

All three of the local Cornwell Cup crews have now been selected. K. Norris and J. Hawtin will represent Lyttelton with Scandal, and Port Kaiapoi will be represented by G. Beynon and M. Abercombie with Contend.
