Crawford (c.) beat T. R. Lovegrove by default; No. 26: P. M. Wilson beat M. J. Beatty (c.), 6-3, 7-9, 6-1; No. 28: P. Steinmetz, a bye; No. 29: E. S. Cormack (c) beat A. Steehouwer by default.
Women.—For No. 1 position: Miss D. Bennett a bye; No. 2: Miss L. Luxton beat Miss M. Pauli (c.). 8-6, 6-3; No. 4: Mrs J. Lewis (c.) beat Miss P. Allen. 10-8, 6-3; No. 6: Miss F. A. Ower beat Mrs W.
