PILLION RIDER DIES OF INJURIES
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 1. Ronald George Herman, aged 16, suffered fatal head injuries in a collision between a motor-cycle and a car in Mitchelltown, Wellington, at 7 p.m. today. He died as he was being taken to hospital. He was riding on the pillion of the motor-cycle. His parents live in Koromiko road, Mitchelltown.
The rider of the motor-cycle, David Kitchener, a joiner, of Mitchelltown, suffered concussion, shock and a fractured collar bone. He was admitted to the Wellington Public Hospital. His condition late tonight was reported to be improving.
