The Minister of Justice (Mr Swart) said in an interview last night with the Government newspaper, “Die Transvaler,” that the new situation created by the Appeal Court decision on the ‘ Suppression of Communism Act must be reviewed. The Appeal Court ruled that people could not be banned under the act from attending meetings or holding office unless they had been given the opportunity to contest the evidence alleging they were supporters of communism.
