INDUSTRIAL SITE ON RURAL LAND
APPLICATION GRANTED BY WAIMAIRI COUNCIL After first refusing the Paramount Building Company permission to establish an industrial site on a block of land bounded by Radcliffe road and the Main North road, the Waimairi County Council last evening approved a second application. The previous application was declined in terms of Section 34 of the Town Planning Act, 1926, and this was supported by the council’s own town planning scheme which considered the land as rural, said the report of the works committee to the council. The committee, in its report last evening, recommended that the second application be approved, and its recommendation was adopted by the council.
