WATERFRONT BILL
HARBOUR BOARD URGES DELAY (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, November 26. A strong protest at the Government’s action in proceeding with the Waterfront Industry Bill was registered by the Wellington Harbour Board today The board supports the representations made to the Government by the Harbours Association of New Zealand to delay the passage of the bill. The board urged today that the bill be delayed till next session so that the board, in the interests of those it represented, could give a considered opinion on the proposed legislation and make representations. A statement from the board said that it was seriously concerned with many of the provisions of the bill.
