Sanitary Institute.—A' talk on the
history of the prevention of infectious diseases was given by Dr. Ross Lane at a meeting of the Canterbury centre of the Royal Sanitary Institute at Ashburton last evening. More than 20 municipal inspectors from all parts of Canterbury attended the meeting.
