AIR SERVICE TO NELSON

CHRISTCHURCH FIRM’S PLANS ’

Application for an air service from Harewood to Nelson has been made by Airwork (New Zealand), Ltd. On December 9 the/ Air Service Licensing Authority will consider the application and if it is granted a twiceweekly service (on Mondays and Fridays) will begin between Christchurch and Nelson.

A de Havilland Dominie, recently bought by the company from the Royal New Zealand Air Force, will be used on the route if the application is granted. The managing director of the company (Mr C. Brazier) said yesterday that he intended to have the Nelson service connect with his services to Ashbtirton, Timaru and Oamaru.
