WEEK END REPORT FOR ANGLERS

The Selwyn and Ashley rivers were clear and fishable at 5 p.m. yesterday according to advice received from the Canterbury Anglers’ Club and the North Canterbury Acclimatisation Society. The Halswell was clear with floating weeds. The Waimakariri. Waiau, Rangitata, Clarence and Hurunui rivers were very dirty, and the lower Rakaia, Ashburton and Opihi rivers were discoloured.
