Manual Training Centre.—A telegram that the proposal for the Darfield manual training centre was again under consideration was received from the Minister of Education (Mr R. M. Algie) at yesterday’s meeting of the Canterbury Education Board. The telegram said the board would be advised ■as soon as a decision was reached. Previously the board had forwarded tenders to the Education Department for approval, but they were all refused on the ground that there was no money available to build the centre.
