OLD POLAR SHIP UNDER SURVEY.—The polar exploration ship, Discovery, in which Captain R. F. Scott sailed on his Antarctic expedition in 1901-4, being towed along the Thames to the London graving dock for survey. If the survey is satisfactory the ship will be taken over by the Admiralty and be used for the training of R.N.V.R. personnel from the Boy Scouts' Association. The ship was presented to the association in 1931 and has been moored off the Embankment.
